Business Development – Sales & Production - Virtual Office

dai is seeking individuals that are highly motivated self-starters that are experienced in business development – sales, planning and management - in the meeting, incentive, conference, event and hospitality industry.  These individuals will work as contracted independent contractors (IC’s) and will share in the revenue generated from each project or client that they contract. 

The dai Team (don anderson incorporated), established in 1965:
• Design, Plan, and Manage meetings, incentive travel programs, conferences, product launches and consumer events for corporations, associations, and private sector clients.
• Provide Sales, Marketing and Public Relations representation to Convention Bureaus, Destinations, Cities, Hotel Companies to assist them in increasing MICE, Group, and FIT/Leisure business that originates from the USA and Canada (North America)
• Provide FAM attendee solicitation, qualification, logistics management and planning to our clients supported by Email Marketing Campaigns consisting of 55,000 MICE and 130,000 Travel Agents

dai’s client base encompasses but is not limited to companies, organizations, and associations within the Automobile, Bio-Tech, Financial Services, Hospitality, Hotel, Insurance, Legal, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Technology, Tourism and Travel industries.

We are seeking individuals to join the dai Team that have:
• Been involved in business development/sales for a minimum of 3-5 years
• Worked in business development in some or all of the listed hospitality segments:
        * Meeting Planning and Management
        * Incentive Travel Programs
        * Incentive Merchandise Programs
        * Major Sports Events
        * Conference Planning and Management
        * Special Event Design, Planning and Management
        * Entertainment and Show production
        * Site Selection
        * Destination Management
        * Contract Negotiation and Consulting
        * Registration and Housing Management
        * Travel Program Sales and Marketing
• Have been active in MPI, ASAE, PCMA, Skall, ICP, IMEX or other similar industry organizations

Skill and Experience required:
• Undergraduate degree preferred
• Working knowledge of timelines and the creative process
• Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency – intermediate or advanced
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work assignments
• Budget management aptitude
• Must have flexible schedule and reliable transportation
• Available for weekends and nights to work projects if needed
• Willingness to travel to client and project location
• Knowledge of CRM Software – Salesforce preferred
