Job Description and Requirements: We are kicking it up a notch! Are YOU up for the challenge? MFactor, one of the Bay Area’s premier meeting and incentive companies is GROWING and, has an opening for a Meeting Planner, who is energetic, positive and enjoys creating fun, engaging programs for their clients. The position requires hands-on involvement from beginning to execution of meetings, user conferences, incentive programs and events. This person needs a background working for a meeting and event company enabling them to “hit” the ground running. You must have experience working with clients as well as experience working with the vendor side such as hotels, air and DMCs. This is a full time position located in San Carlos, CA and would require travel domestic and internationally. Applicants must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area. If you are looking to relocate: there are no funds for relocation for this position. An in person interview is required and costs associated with the interview would be at your own expense.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serves as principal liaison between contractors, organizers, and administrators with regards to all facets of the logistical operations support of multiple programs and events.
Negotiates terms, executes, and administers multiple contracts with facilities and vendors for services, in accordance with budget constraints and policies and procedures.
Monitors and coordinates accounting activities as appropriate, and prepares internal reports for management; participates in budget planning and management, as required.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Help guide and recommend to clients activities, events, flow etc, that will make their even fun and engaging for their participants.
Applicants must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate before the start of the job (by end of summer).
MUST have third-party experience working for a meeting/event company or agency.
MUST have experience planning software User Conferences and Sales Incentive Trips.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Travel and Tourism or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
3+ years related experience.
If you have been working in Marketing your main job function at the company should be planning meetings and events.
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation a plus (but not required).
Microsoft Office skills.
