Turismo de Lisboa and the Lisboa Convention Bureau have the pleasure to invite you to join the Lisboa Mice/Corporate FAM from Sept 25th to the 29th 2018

September 25 – September 29, 2018
“History, Today, the Future – All Meet in Lisboa”

This MICE/Corporate FAM is specifically oriented to meeting, incentive, conference, event/exposition companies and planners (MICE), association meeting and conference planners, corporate meeting planners and international conference/exhibition management companies, that are based in the United States and Canada and have business that originated from the United States, Canada and around the world.

The final list of invitees will be determined by the LCB based on information given in the attendee application.

Cost of International Air Transportation is paid for by the Lisboa Convention Bureau.  Air Transportation can be provided from Newark, Boston, Miami, and Toronto to Lisboa. Return is to your original point of departure.

If participant cancels after ticket is issued (an email will be sent before tickets are issued) the participant will be responsible to reimburse the LCB for this expense.

Departure and Return Flights:

* International Departure Airports: Newark, Boston, Miami, Toronto:
• Departure Flight should arrive the morning of September 25, 2018 in Lisbon
• Return Flight: Should depart from Lisbon September 29, 2018 to your original airport of international departure

Those with connecting flights to and from Newark, Boston, Miami and Toronto Airports, the LCB will reimburse you for an amount up to $300.00 upon arrival in Lisbon (the LCB will need a copy of the internal North American E.ticket and a receipt)

Ground or Rail Transportation to and from your airport of departure is your responsibility.

The LCB will host Buyers for: All scheduled group ground transportation, meals and tours

Tipping at Restaurants: A service charge or servico is NOT usually added to hotel and restaurant bills in Portugal. However, it is customary to tip an additional 10% if the service warrants

It is imperative that you are prompt and on-time for every event and scheduled activity, tour, food function

Local gastronomy and wines are included on the program. The focus is to introduce the Buyers to local gastronomy. Menus are pre-selected by the Lisboa Convention Bureau and a fixed group menu confirmed. Exceptions on the pre-set menu are only for the participants that previously informed food allergy restrictions on the registration application.

Travel insurance is the responsibility of the participant/company, the LCB does not assume any responsibility regarding travel insurance on behalf of the participants.

The program requires a certain mobility, sometimes walking and climbing stairs is necessary. If you are not mobile please disclose in your application.

Cell phone etiquette required (avoiding massive use of cells during visits, meals, activities…)

The Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau receives numerous requests from travel agents and tour operators.  We are excited to showcase our diverse region, and partnering with you to bring more visitors to Monterey County. To help us maximize our limited resources, we appreciate your help in respecting our guidelines below.

FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES

In order to best serve you, we ask that the following guidelines be followed when requesting FAM trips:

  • Complete the online FAM Request Form (found below)
  • Contact the CVB at least six weeks in advance, for a successful visit. Once credentials have been verified, we will begin coordinating arrangements with our area partners. If less than six weeks notice is given, we will attempt to assist in every way we can; however, the CVB relies on our industry partners when conducting FAM trips, therefore we cannot guarantee all requests for assistance can be fully accommodated.
  • Complimentary arrangements (i.e. accommodations, meals, attraction tickets, etc.) are provided at the discretion of our industry partners. If “comps” cannot be accepted, a FAM rate will be requested. All requests are subject to availability.
